With 18 years of yoga experience and over 1000 hours of formal training, my major life-passion is to share the therapeutic benefits of yoga. I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with the international governing body Yoga Alliance and I have a Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy.
I work extensively with students on a one-on-one basis, where I specialise in creating tailor-made, therapeutic yoga practices that address the specific needs of the individual. I also run yoga therapy courses, workshops, teacher trainings and yoga retreats.
I have experience in working with a wide range of musculo-skeletal injuries, chronic health conditions and mental health illnesses. My driving ambition is to make yoga accessible to all, no matter your experience, age or health circumstances.
My yoga therapy sessions make use of a wide variety of tools ranging from movement and posture practices to breathwork, guided meditation, relaxation techniques and lifestyle enquiry in order to help students meet their health goals. I draw inspiration from a wide-range of different yoga styles and lineages including, but not limited to, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, Iyengar, Restorative, Yin, Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
‘Last year I was hit by a car which shattered my femur. I went from having a daily yoga practice to being bed-bound and eventually having to re-learn to walk. Private lessons with Vicky were key to improving my mobility. She has a fantastic understanding of the human body and – if suffering from injury – how to best apply yoga to improve these limitations. She designed sequences for me to practice that were appropriate for my level of recovery, and we were able build on these and grow the practice over time. She was instrumental in my rehabilitation and I especially appreciated her patience, empathy, friendship and general loveliness during this tough period.’

‘My weekly yoga therapy sessions with Vicky aim to improve my general flexibility and alignment, reduce tension headaches and give me a window in the day to relax. The sessions are a great mix of strength building, balance and stretching and this combination has resulted in noticeable improvements to my posture, flexibility and overall wellbeing. My headaches are fewer and I can now comfortably touch my toes!
